THE PROJECT

Nanosonics, a $1.4 billion global medical company which trades in the ASX conducts all their manufacturing here in Sydney, Australia and was in need of an updated and more organised mechanical & rapid prototyping workshop to complement their growing operation. We began our relationship with the medical giant back in 2019 to help them achieve a more streamlined workshop.

UNIPAC was tasked to optimise the workspace around the company’s CNC machines & 3D printers with the clear goal of creating a more productive environment for the department. UNIPAC then carefully selected and supplied suitable integrated modular benches and modules that were used as workstations to perform important tooling and prototyping tasks.

The ability to conveniently expand the setup was high on the priority list.Beta’s signature RSC55 workshop furniture was the perfect fit for Nanosonics, allowing fixed & mobile roller-cabs to seamlessly fit under workbenches, computer work to be done with monitors attached to clever perforated panels, and all valuable equipment to be safely locked away. A tailored design was created to suit  whilst accomplishing a more professional outlook that is CI-compliant.

At the end of Q1 2022, Nanosonics outgrew their operation and relocated to a significantly larger facility. The new site was able to accommodate a workshop that was 4-times larger which was much more appropriate for our client’s needs. UNIPAC worked closely with Nanosonics once again to conceive a suitable design; adapting all previously supplied RSC55 into the new layout.

This future proofing approach adopted by UNIPAC from conception allowed Nanosonics to ramp up their operation year-on-year in their previous facility and helped significantly minimise investment spend when relocating to their new facility.

We continue to  maintain a close relationship with Nanosonics and support them as they expand their operations into the future. As synergy partners, UNIPAC is ever willing to jump in to assist in further maximising workspace productivity and organisation.
